Hundesport-Parcourshelfer

Plan Agility courses, to the VDH and FCI rules.

Place hurdles, tunnels, dog walk, seesaw, A-frame and weave poles in the ring to scale and number them. The dog’s path draws itself as a curve, the planner measures each stretch, counts the obstacles and checks against the FCI regulations and the VDH Agility rules 2026. In the end the plan goes up with its equipment list.

Example Agility 2 course, VDH: 17 numbers on 16 obstacles in a 40 by 30 metre ring. The dog’s path starts bottom left, runs over a hurdle and the seesaw to the right, in curves up through the middle to the weave poles and tunnel on the right edge, along the top fence over the dog walk to the left, back down over the A-frame and ends bottom right at a hurdle that was already number 3.

  1. Step 1 of 5

Place the obstacles, number them, the path comes along

Hurdles, spread hurdle, wall, tyre, long jump, dog walk, seesaw, A-frame, tunnel and weave poles go into the ring to scale. With every number the dog’s path grows as a curve, and each stretch carries its length along the path. You set the tunnel’s length and bend it at the openings; one obstacle can carry several numbers. Move one and the path follows.

What the planner checks at Agility 2

    • 15 to 22 obstacles, at least 7 of them jumps
    • 100 to 250 m course length
    • at least 5 m from obstacle to obstacle, measured along the dog’s path
    • at least 1 m between two obstacles, so the dog can be handled around them
    • Required: dog walk, seesaw, A-frame and weave poles, at most 4 contact passes

Source: FCI Agility Regulations, VDH Agility rules 2026

  2. Step 2 of 5

Checked before it goes into the ring

The check knows the level, required obstacles, distances, length, straight approaches, tunnel bends and changes of handling side. In this plan the hurdle at number 16 stands so close to the seesaw that you can no longer handle around both.

    Violation

Two obstacles are 0.59 m apart — 1.00 m are required so both sides can be passed.

Limits: FCI Agility Regulations, VDH Agility rules 2026

  3. Step 3 of 5

    Vanja suggests

Vanja sets a complete Agility course for the level: obstacles, order, tunnels, changes of handling side and loops. No AI, fixed rules; several candidates are scored and the best one goes on the field. In the planner you change whatever you want different.

Computed in your browser, with the same rules as in the planner.

  4. Step 4 of 5

    Walk it: the 2D walkthrough

Before you build, walk the plan: handler and dog follow the path, every element is worked through in order. Length and time appear at the end.

  5. Step 5 of 5

The finished plan goes out as PDF or PNG, A4 landscape, with or without distances. Below the plan is the equipment list: every obstacle, the tunnels by length and the sandbags they need. A whole folder goes out as one PDF.

Questions about Agility

Which levels and regulations does the planner know?

Agility and Jumping under the VDH Agility rules 2026 (A0 to A3, JP0 to JP3) and the FCI Agility Regulations (A2 and A3, JP1 to JP3). You pick the association and the level when you create a course.

Which obstacles are there?

Hurdle, spread hurdle, wall, tyre, long jump, dog walk, seesaw, A-frame, tunnel and weave poles. You set the tunnel’s length and bend it at its openings. Obstacles can be moved between layers, for example a tunnel under the dog walk.

How does the dog’s path come about, and what is measured?

You number the obstacles and the path runs as a curve from number to number. The planner measures every stretch along the path and as the crow flies; the total length and the number of obstacles stand above the plan. You can reroute single stretches with waypoints.

What does the planner check?

Number of obstacles and jumps, required obstacles per level, distances between obstacles, length, straight approaches, tunnel bends and changes of handling side. What is only a hint is shown as a hint, not as a violation.

There’s even Hoopers and Rally Obedience here

One account, several sports: the same planner, the same way of checking, the same printout. With the club plan you plan together, in folders that belong to everyone.
